If someone had told me a few years ago that I would leave my career as a law clerk to become a Holistic Reproductive Practitioner and Reiki Master, I'm not sure I would have believed them.
At the time, my life looked very different.
I worked in a legal office, supporting people through some of life's most challenging and uncertain moments. It taught me how to truly listen, stay calm under pressure, and create space for people who simply needed to feel heard. Looking back, I can see those experiences were quietly preparing me for the work I do today.
It All Started During Maternity Leave
Like many unexpected journeys, mine began with motherhood.
While I was on maternity leave with my newborn, I found myself searching for ways to support my baby's nervous system. I had experienced Reiki as a teenager and had always felt drawn to holistic healing, but I had never imagined becoming a practitioner myself.
Then one evening, while trying to settle my baby, one thought came into my mind: "I need to learn Reiki."
That simple moment changed everything.
I found a Reiki practitioner who had trained through By the Moon and enrolled because I wanted to learn something that could help my family. I had no grand career plan, just a desire to learn.
But one step quickly led to another.
As I continued my training, I discovered reflexology and Full Spectrum Doula care through By the Moon's Holistic Reproductive Practitioner program. Although those paths hadn't been part of my original plan, they felt deeply aligned with the kind of care I wanted to offer.
Like many people starting something completely new, I questioned myself.
Could I really do this? Would I be good enough?
One conversation during my training changed my perspective forever.
When I shared my worries about practicing Reiki, Michelle Stroud reminded me of something beautifully simple:
"Reiki is enough."
Those three words lifted so much pressure from my shoulders.
They reminded me that healing isn't about having all the answers. Sometimes it's simply about creating a safe space where someone can rest, breathe, and receive care.
That lesson continues to guide every session I offer today.
The Heart Behind My Practice
Today, my practice is centered on one simple goal:
I want every person who walks through my door to feel cared for, supported, and heard.
Whether someone is trying to conceive, navigating pregnancy, recovering postpartum, healing after pregnancy loss, or simply looking to support their nervous system and overall well-being, my hope is that they leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived.
Through reflexology, Reiki, Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), and holistic reproductive care, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe enough to slow down, breathe, and simply be themselves.
I don't believe my role is to "fix" people.
My role is to listen with compassion, offer gentle support, and meet each person exactly where they are. A Leap Worth Taking
Building this practice has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
For several years, I balanced my work as a law clerk while seeing clients during evenings and weekends. And just this year, I finally took the leap and began practicing full-time.
It was both exciting and a little scary, but I haven't looked back.
Every day, I'm reminded how meaningful it is to support people through some of the most important seasons of their lives. It truly is an honor, and it's a responsibility I never take for granted.

My own journey also began through By the Moon's Holistic Reproductive Practitioner Training, where I studied Reiki, Reflexology, and Full Spectrum Doula care. That education continues to influence the way I support my clients every day.
